Positives:
I personally find the belt bag elegant. The workmanship is very good and durable. It offers space for a (thick) wallet, a few small items such as a lighter and pocket knife, a medium-sized bunch of keys and at the back for banknotes or similar flat items (e.g. a comb). Since the waist strap is also made of leather and a sturdy plastic buckle, it is also quite durable (several years) in contrast to some synthetic straps.
Negatives
As the leather is unfortunately not dyed through, the color will rub off over time and this used look only matches the elegance of the bag to a limited extent. A second downside is the fact that after several years, the zippers no longer close or open properly. And the elegance comes at the expense of the storage options; sometimes you would like to have one or two more small compartments for this or that - but you can't have everything ;-)
